Categories of Membership
- Full Members
- Licensed dermatologists and skin specialists practicing in Somalia or abroad.
- Eligible to vote, hold office, and participate fully in society activities.
- Associate Members
- General practitioners, medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and allied healthcare workers interested in dermatology.
- Participate in society programs but may have limited voting rights.
- Student Members
- Medical students, residents, and young researchers specializing or interested in dermatology.
- Access to mentorship, training, and educational opportunities.
- Honorary Members
- Distinguished individuals or organizations recognized for their outstanding contribution to dermatology or healthcare in Somalia.
Membership Requirements
To become a member of SSD, applicants must:
- Submit a completed membership application form.
- Provide proof of medical qualification (for professionals) or student enrollment letter (for students).
- Commit to upholding the ethics and standards of the Somali Society of Dermatology.
- Pay the annual membership fee as determined by the society.
- Actively participate in meetings, trainings, and awareness programs when possible.
